Giving out business cards and other updates!

So an update on my last few posts. I received and installed my new monitor to finish off my handicap race simulator.

I also received in my new business cards.

I handing them out to most of the people I work with. If you would like one (or multiple to give out) let me know. Handing them out gave me some good input on my website. I learned that I was correct in the fact that Facebook is very hit or miss as far as who sees my posts. Some people said they see most of the time when I post. Others said they have never seen a post. Facebook is like most companies, and is about making money. In order for them to boost my Facebook page or my website, they charge either 5 or 7 dollars a day (depending on which one you want them to promote). Needless to say that will add up quickly. At this current time, I am not going to do that. The only way I would consider it is if a sponsor steps up to help me pay for it (sponsors still needed) where I could push both of our brands at the same time.

One of the people that I work with (that has also been in a wheelchair at times, and has read my posts) said that the main thing they would emphasize is how difficult it is to navigate in a chair at a store. They said they had the issue of not being able to go down the isles so they literally left their cart with stuff in it and still have not returned to the store. They also stated that they also have had a lot of issues with bathroom doors being too hard to open. I would like to emphasize this again. If you can not get in and out of the bathroom very easy, you will not go to that place. I personally know that both of these things can be an issue and have felt similar about it.

I have thought about it and if anyone else has stories or experiences like this that they would like to share, let me know. I will gladly let them add some blog posts (or will post them on there behalf if they don’t feel comfortable doing so). As I have stated, English is not my strong suite. As such, I understand if you are a little worried about doing this. I will help you write it, or will write it for you if you would like. I can do like I did in the last paragraph and keep it anonymous if you want as well.

I have been thinking about what the next thing I would like to purchase would be. I feel like the wheelchair scale is what I would really like to have. The most reasonable one that I have found cost around 500 dollars. It is similar to a pallet scale but has the edges tapered so that you can drive your chair up on it. I think it would work great but is also a lot of money for a scale. I have been dieting a little bit and would kind of like to know what I actually weigh. I haven’t actually been on a scale but one time since I quit being able to walk (and that was over a year ago in St. Louis at a wheelchair evaluation). It is probably something that I would have from now on so I do need to make sure that I get a good one (so it might cost more than that). Thanks for reading and have a great day!!
